A Day at Supreme Camps: What Does 9–4 Actually Look Like?
If you've ever wondered what your child actually gets up to during a day at Supreme Camps, you're not alone!
With a full day from 9am to 4pm, there is plenty of time to fill - and we make sure our campers have a day packed with variety, activity and fun.
From bouncy castles and Nerf Wars to creative crafts, team games and tasty treats, no two activities are quite the same.
So, what does a typical day look like?
9:00am – Arrivals and getting ready for the day
The day begins with standard drop-off from 9am, giving children time to arrive, settle in and get ready for the day's activities.
By around 9:30am, everyone is together with their group and ready to get started.
Our campers are split into age-appropriate groups, each with their own staff members. This means children get to spend the day with a smaller group while still being part of the wider camp experience.
9:45am – Let the fun begin!
The first activities of the day get underway at 9:45am - and this is where the variety really begins.
Depending on the day and group, children might be:
Jumping around on our bouncy castles
Taking part in Nerf Wars
Playing dodgeball, benchball or football
Getting involved in Laser Tag
Building an obstacle course
Playing Hide & Seek and tag games
Getting creative with a themed craft
Taking part in a fun challenge
And because different groups take part in different activities throughout the day, there is always plenty going on around camp.
One group might be battling it out in Nerf Wars while another is decorating biscuits, making crafts or bouncing around on the inflatables.
Children always have a choice
We know that every child is different, and not every activity will appeal to everyone.
Activities on our timetables are planned, but children will always have a choice about what they participate in. If a child doesn't want to take part in something such as Nerf Wars or a particular sports activity, alternative options such as arts and crafts are available.
This means children can enjoy their day in a way that suits them, while still being encouraged to explore new activities and experiences.
10:30am – Snack break
After the first activity session, it's time for a well-earned snack break.
It's a chance for children to grab a drink and snack, have a little rest and recharge before heading back into the day's activities.
Then it's time for more fun!
10:45am–12:30pm – More games, creativity and challenges
The late morning brings another selection of activities, with groups moving through their different sessions.
Depending on the day, children might find themselves making paper crafts, play dough, biscuits or themed decorations, before heading outside for a game or challenge.
There could be Laser Tag, Nerf Wars, bouncy castles, obstacle courses, dodgeball, football, parachute games or mini challenges happening throughout the morning.
The aim is to give children a balance of active, creative and social activities, rather than spending the entire morning doing one type of activity.
One minute they could be running around in a team game, and the next they could be sitting down and getting creative.
12:30pm – Lunch and a chance to recharge
By lunchtime, everyone has worked up an appetite!
Lunch runs from around 12:30pm to 1:30pm, giving children time to eat, chat with their friends and take a break from the morning's activities.
It's an important chance to recharge before the afternoon sessions begin.
1:45pm – The afternoon fun begins
After lunch, it's time to get back into the action.
Afternoon activities can include everything from Laser Tag and Nerf Wars to basketball, golf, bouncy castles, obstacle courses, crafts, parachute games and team challenges.
And because the groups have different timetables, children can experience a wide range of activities throughout their time at camp.
There are plenty of opportunities to try something they may not have done before - whether that's getting involved in a new game, creating something they're proud of or simply joining their friends for an activity they love.
2:30pm – One last activity!
The final activity session of the day gives campers another chance to get involved, have fun and spend time with their group.
It could be a game of football, a creative activity, a team challenge, Nerf Wars, bouncy castles or something completely different.
By this point, there's usually been plenty of playing, laughing, creating and making memories!
3:30–4:00pm – Home time
After a busy day, it's time for standard pick-up between 3:30pm and 4:00pm.
Children have spent the day being active, getting creative, socialising and trying different activities — with plenty of opportunities to choose what they enjoy along the way.
And the best part?
Tomorrow's timetable could look completely different!
What happens if the weather changes?
While we plan our activities carefully, we all know that the British weather doesn't always cooperate!
Some outdoor activities are weather dependent, so if conditions aren't suitable, activities may be replaced with suitable indoor alternatives.
We always aim to follow the planned timetable as closely as possible while making sure children remain safe, comfortable and happy throughout the day.
More than just keeping children busy
At Supreme Camps, our aim isn't simply to fill the hours between 9am and 4pm.
We want children to have the opportunity to try different things, make friends, build confidence and enjoy their holidays in a fun and welcoming environment.
